The practice has been committed to sustainable and environmentally friendly architectural solutions for a number of years, and in 2008 introduced a formal Environmental Policy. This policy takes into consideration the day to day running of LDN as well as best practice for the design and implementation of buildings. It also outlines staff training procedures on the subject and project cost occupancy analysis to ensure that positive decisions made on previous projects can be replicated on new work.
We aim to ensure that an environmental strategy is adopted as early as possible in the design process and encourage clients and other consultnants to share these objectives. The enhancement of environmental quality through the minimisation of pollution, waste and resource depletion is a primary goal. We also acknowledge the capacity for a building to change throughout is projected life by allowing for the potential re-use, recycling and reconstitution of its systems and components.
