Hilger LDN was appointed by Stadt Bernburg to oversee the refurbishment of this important 19th century theatre in Lower Saxony, which had been neglected and out of use for several years. The theatre had deteriorated to such an extent that comprehensive renovation and renewal was necessary, involving the restoration of the 350 seat auditorium, major changes to the front of house areas to provide contemporary foyer space, the integration of new theatre and services equipment, and the restoration and part renewal of the roof and facades.
