LDN converted a derelict farm steading at Longforgan in the Tay Valley to eight houses. The stonework and significant features of the steading were retained and the houses were designed in a contemporary manner and finished externally with natural materials that echo the steading’s vernacular heritage. The houses have large open plan living spaces that exploit spectacular views and are highly insulated to limit energy consumption.
