Built in 1880 to provide a social focus for the resort, the Pavilion lay derelict since ceasing to operate as a venue in the 1970s. Ownership passed to the Scottish Historic Buildings Trust in 1996 and a full programme of conservation and conversion works was carried out by LDN. The Pavilion is now being run as an artistic and cultural resource for the benefit of residents and visitors.
