Crawfordton House Restoration

Client: Kenneth Ko

Crawfordton House is a B Listed Scottish Baronial House near Dumfries dating from the 1850s. It was last used as a residential school which closed in the early 2000s and lay empty for a number of years until it was bought recently by a Kenneth Ko, an internationally known Hong Kong based Designer, who wished to demonstrate the value of conservation to his international clients. LDN was responsible for a comprehensive programme of conservation repairs to the external fabric of the building including, the removal of late 20th century extensions; re-roofing the entire building; the repair and upgrading of windows; and structural repairs.

The interiors of the house were re-planned and brought up to contemporary standards with the introduction of new en-suite bathrooms, a new kitchen and a new gymnasium. The whole house has been decorated in KK’s own distinctive style.
