Built originally as a military fort on the shores of Loch Ness and later converted to a monastery and school, the history, buildings and setting of St Benedict’s Abbey at Fort Augustus are of national significance. The A Listed Abbey was acquired by Santon Group, who commissioned LDN to oversee a comprehensive scheme of restoration, conversion, selective demolition and sensitive new build. Over 100 residential units and leisure facilities have been created that now safeguard the Abbey’s future well into the 21st century.
