LDN Architects received the Conservation and Regeneration Award for Archers Hall, Edinburgh. The architects have successfully refurbished, re-modeled and extended the 1777 Alexander Laing designed building and created post graduate residences on reclaimed and previously underutilised land. The exiting Grade A Listed building is politely extended in a contemporary style to form butts for indoor archery practise along one side... (read more...)

Our Threadneedle Street (Peterhead) project, completed under the auspices of the National Trust for Scotland and now in the ownership of Tenants First Housing Co-operative, began to receive deserved recognition through winning the Award for Best Conservation Project 2012 from the Aberdeen Society of Architects (ASA) at a big bash in the Granite City on 9 March. Through the National Trust for Scotland’s ‘Little Houses’ improvement scheme, LDN Architects have completed the remodelling and extension of a pair of Georgian terraces in Threadneedle Street, Peterhead to create a facility for people with physical and learning disabilities along with social housing. Well done to LDN Architects and Buro Happold Employees who entered a joint team in this years Dragon Boat races down at Leith Docks. After several heats the team qualified for the final coming a respectable 2nd overall and raising over £2000 for local charities in the process. (read more...)

We were also awarded Best Public Building for Morningside Parish Church Hall, Best Culture / Leisure Project for the Usher Hall Redevelopment and were commended in the Education category for the Edinburgh Business School.
