At the RICS Yorkshire & Humber Awards ceremony on Friday 11th May, the Piece Hall and Calderdale Central Library & Archives project was awarded the prize for Regeneration. The project was celebrated for restoring the 18th Century Cloth Hall to create "a vibrant new cultural and commercial centre that is attracting significant public and private sector funding and new businesses and organisations to the area".

It went on to win the award for Best Project Overall thanks to "overall outstanding best practice and an exemplary commitment to adding value to its local area", and exemplifying "culture-led regeneration".
